Ah man, where do I begin? Why you would want to buy this DVD, let alone watch the movie, is beyond me. Sure, "Seed of Chucky" isn't a complete disaster, but compared to the previous "Child Play" movies - and let's face it, it doesn't have much to live up to - it is one piece of crap.

The previous film, "Bride of Chucky," which introduced Jennifer Tilly into the mix, wasn't anything great, but at least it pulled off a few successful parodies here and there. "Seed of Chucky" obviously intended to do the same thing, but it becomes lost in long, drawn out scenes that are neither funny nor scary. While it was nice to watch Redman get killed, "Seed of Chucky" has little redeeming value in any way or form.

Surprisingly enough, this movie actually has some potential, as it takes a stab at Hollywood by getting Tilly back into her real body (she became a doll in the last one) as - you guessed it - Jennifer Tilly. Aside from one or two dull jokes about her failed career, the movie lacks any understanding of how to parody - well, anything.

The DVD adds nothing to the picture, supplying the poor person who purchases such a thing a boatload of features - but quantity over quality rings true here. There are a couple of deleted scenes, but for the most part the DVD is full of little gags where Chucky is getting interviewed about his past movies, et cetera et cetera. None of the features are funny, and I have to wonder how much money was wasted in making these features especially for the DVD.

"Seed of Chucky" has nothing of what made the originals so popular. It lacks horror and it lacks comedy - it is just a boring, uninteresting film with ugly dolls and a few blood specks.
